The president of Ghana in his nation’s address yesterday reiterated that, pregnant women are not supposed to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

His excellency, Nana Akuffo Addo said this because, research is still being conducted to find out how safe the vaccine is, especially for pregnant women.

His announcement is timely since a lot of the citizens who have family members pregnant would have encouraged these pregnant women to line up to receive the vaccine.

It is therefore important for pregnant women to wait as said by the president of Ghana for a safer and ascertained vaccine that can protect pregnant women from getting infected with Corona virus.
