God’s Mind On Polygamy

THE CONSEQUENCES OF PLAYING WITH MARRIAGE, A “HOLY INSTITUTION” OF GOD (Read: Malachi 2:11,13-16) :

There are laws governing marriage.

Marriage was conceived and designed by God, Himself (Gen 2:18-25): And it is between a man(singular) and a woman/wife(singular):

That is one man – one woman (or one husband – one wife: 1Cor 7:1-2).

After the marriage ceremony(Check to know : Deuteronomy 22:28-29), the two become one flesh and it is a LIFETIME journey.

The two become one in both the physical and spiritual sense in the marriage bond, so that their children shall become GODLY or HOLY CHILDREN (See: Malachi 2:14-15 1Cor 7:10-14).

Because of this spiritual bondage, even after divorce, the man or woman (whether the divorced or the divorcee) is not permitted to marry again, if the other partner is still alive (Luke 16:18 Romans 7:2-3 1Cor 7:10-11,39).

The Holy Spirit teaches that if you desire to marry, then seek for your OWN husband or your OWN wife (1Cor 7:1-2).

Therefore, a man (husband) having more than one wife is DISQUALIFIED from becoming a PASTOR (or minister of Christ) 1Timothy 3:1-2). This message is a warning for “the CHURCH of the Living God” (Check: 1Tim 3:1-2,14-15), the Christian or the New Testament (N. T) believer.

In the Old Testament (O. T), David was a prophet of God (See: Acts 2:29-30), but he had many wives (about 7 wives) and also concubines (Check : 1Chronicles 3:1-9).

Jesus has come to fulfill the Old Testament with His life and teachings, and the apostles’ teachings in the New Testament (Matthew 5:17,27-29,31-32 Luke 16:18 1Cor 7:10-11,2 1Tim 3:1-2,14-15). REFER to this: Hebrews 8:7-13 to understand why Old Covenant is being replaced with the New Covenant (Hebrews 9:11-17)

Marrying again whilst your wife or husband is still alive is called ADULTERY (Luke 16:18 Romans 7:2-3 Mark 10:11-12):

The only condition for divorce and remarriage to another person without committing adultery is based on unfaithfulness or adultery:Romans 7:2-3 (Study: Matthew 19:3-9)

Therefore, a man with two wives is an ADULTERER in this church Age. Polygamy is against the Lord’s command, ” seek for your OWN husband or OWN wife during marriage” in 1Cor 7:2

Anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. He becomes an ADULTERER. And the divorced woman she has married, is also an ADULTERESS (Luke 16:18 Mark 10:11-12 Romans 7:2-3):

This means that if you are a Christian don’t marry the divorced or the divorcee.

God shall surely JUDGE FORNICATORS and ADULTERERS/ADULTERESSES (Hebrews 13:4).

ADULTERERS and ADULTERESSES, and the WORLD SYSTEMS that permit “divorce and remarriage to another person” are ENEMIES of God (James 4:4):

In many nations, their Constitutions (a Constitution is a book of regulations and rules/laws made by man for governing a nation: Colossians 2:8 Mark 7:5-9,13) PERMITS DIVORCE and REMARRIAGE, which amounts to ADULTERY.

BUT the Bible, the Holy Scriptures from God (2Tim 3:16 2Peter 1:20-21) speaks against DIVORCE and REMARRIAGE (1Cor 7:10-16,39 Mark 10:2-12).

God HATES divorce (Malachi 2:13-16 NKJ) to the extent that God REFUSES to have anything to do with the divorcee who has ignored his/her marriage vows and God (the principal Witness in any marriage) to divorce his/her marriage partner.

FORNICATORS and ADULTERERS/ ADULTERESSES (the unrighteous) SHALL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD (A reality to be a candidate for Hell ???1Corinthians 6:9-10 Rev. 20:11-15).

But those who REPENT from a life of FORNICATION and ADULTERY to lead a RIGHTEOUS and HOLY life shall be SAVED and be made HOLY by the name of Jesus and the Spirit of God(1Cor 6:9,11).

Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and you shall be SAVED into the KINGDOM OF JESUS CHRIST (Romans 10:9 Colossians 1:13-14): And ALL your sins shall be forgiven.
